Question 10 Days in Denmark or Split Time with Norway?

Our family is heading to Copenhagen this July. We are 2 adults and an 11-year-old. We like a mix of city exploration, nature, and some cultural experiences. We have 10 days and are debating whether to spend the entire time in Denmark or to allocate some days to Norway. Has anyone done a similar trip? How easy is it to travel between Denmark and Norway, and would it be worth the effort for a short visit? Also, any must-see spots in Denmark or Norway that are family-friendly?
