Hi, this will be the first time in Ireland for my family of four (kids are 12 and 8)! We're planning a 12-day trip and could really use some advice on how to make the most of it. We're interested in a mix of cultural experiences, nature, and activities that are kid-friendly. Any recommendations on must-see places, hidden gems, or tips for traveling with kids in Ireland would be greatly appreciated. Also, how should we balance our time between cities and the countryside? Looking forward to your suggestions!

For a family-friendly 12-day trip to Ireland, I’d recommend starting in Dublin for a couple of days to explore its rich history and kid-friendly attractions like Dublin Zoo. Then, head to the countryside for a mix of cultural and nature experiences. The Cliffs of Moher and the Burren are must-sees, and kids will love the interactive exhibits at Bunratty Castle & Folk Park. Don’t miss the Ring of Kerry for stunning scenery and family-friendly hikes. Balancing your time with 3-4 days in cities and the rest in the countryside should give you a well-rounded experience. Have you thought about including a day or two in Galway? It’s vibrant and has plenty of activities for kids.
