Discussion Altra Trail Shoes Sale at REI - Worth It?

Just saw that REI is offering a 25% discount on selected Altra trail shoes during their 'Members Preview' sale. I've been eyeing a pair for a while now, but I'm not sure if this is the best deal I'll find or if I should wait for a better sale. Has anyone tried Altra trail shoes before? How do they hold up on rough terrains? Also, for those who've shopped during REI sales, is this a good time to buy or do they usually have better deals later in the year?
