My family and I are planning to spend 2-3 weeks in Puglia this July, including my husband, our 16-year-old daughter, and hopefully our two daughters in their 20s. Initially, I thought about basing ourselves in Lecce for about 2 weeks and taking day trips around the region. However, I'm now wondering if staying in Lecce for 2 weeks might be too much. Would it be better to split our time, spending about a week in Lecce and another week in a different part of Puglia? If so, I'd love to hear recommendations for a second base location in Puglia that would offer a different experience from Lecce. Any suggestions on where to stay and what to explore would be greatly appreciated!
