Advice Best Ferry Options from Civitavecchia to Sardinia?

We’re planning to take the ferry from Civitavecchia to Olbia in mid-June, but honestly, all the options seem a bit sketchy. Has anyone taken this route recently? What’s your experience with the different ferry companies? Are there any particular ones to avoid or that you would recommend? Any tips for making the journey smoother would also be super helpful!

I totally get your concern about ferry options! I took the Civitavecchia to Olbia route last summer, and I can recommend Tirrenia and Moby Lines. Both were fairly reliable, and I had a pleasant experience with decent amenities. To make your journey smoother, try booking in advance, especially for mid-June as it can get busy. Also, check if they allow for vehicle transport if you're planning to drive around Sardinia. Have you thought about what you want to do in Olbia once you arrive?
