San Diego is a haven for hikers, offering everything from breathtaking coastal walks to strenuous mountain trails. Torrey Pines State Reserve stands out for its stunning ocean views and moderate trails that wind through sandstone cliffs, perfect for those who love nature without too much of a challenge. For the more adventurous, Cowles Mountain in Mission Trails Regional Park presents a tougher hike with rewarding panoramic views at the summit. I'm curious, has anyone tried both? How do they compare in terms of difficulty and scenery? Also, any hidden gems in San Diego for hiking that aren't as crowded?
