Planning a drive from Husavik to Dettifoss Falls and looking for the best route. I've heard about taking Hwy 85 around the peninsula to Hwy 862, but I'm wondering if there are any other routes worth considering. Has anyone driven this before? How are the road conditions, especially in winter? Also, any must-see stops along the way? Would love to hear your experiences or tips for this journey.
