We have 5 full (non-travel) days in Prague in April 2025 and are considering adding a side trip to Vienna. What are your thoughts on the best way to do this? Is it worth spending a whole day in Vienna, or should we consider other nearby places like Český Krumlov or Kutná Hora? Any recommendations on how to make the most of a side trip would be helpful. Thanks!

Vienna is a fantastic choice for a side trip, especially if you're into architecture and classical music. However, if you're looking for something closer and equally charming, Český Krumlov is a must-see. Its medieval streets and castle are magical. Kutná Hora, with its unique Bone Church, is another intriguing option. For a 5-day trip, I'd suggest dedicating one full day to Český Krumlov or Kutná Hora to keep things relaxed and immersive. What kind of experiences are you most drawn to—history, nature, or culture?

Considering your 5-day stay, I'd lean towards Český Krumlov or Kutná Hora over Vienna. Vienna is stunning, but it's a bit of a trek for just a day trip. Český Krumlov offers a more intimate, fairy-tale experience with its cobblestone streets and castle, while Kutná Hora's Bone Church is unlike anything else. Both are closer and allow you to dive deeper without feeling rushed. What's your priority—immersive history or picturesque settings?
