Hi all! My family is traveling to Ireland in 3 weeks. I'm a knitter and my husband has arranged some time for fly fishing while we're there. He's really excited about it but we're not sure where to start. Does anyone have recommendations for the best spots for fly fishing in Ireland? We're looking for places that are beginner-friendly but still offer a great experience. Also, any tips on local guides or gear rentals would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!

Ireland is a paradise for fly fishing! For beginners, I'd recommend starting with the River Blackwater in County Cork or Lough Corrib in County Galway. Both spots are known for their stunning scenery and abundant trout and salmon. Local guides are usually very welcoming and can provide gear rentals too. Have you thought about combining your knitting with some cozy evenings by the water? It sounds like the perfect trip for both of you!
