My husband and I will be visiting Belgium in late April, and we’re super excited! We've heard so much about Bruges' charm and Ghent's vibrant atmosphere. What are the must-see spots in both cities? We're looking for a mix of iconic landmarks and hidden gems. Any recommendations on how to best enjoy a day trip from Bruges to Ghent? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Bruges and Ghent are both stunning! In Bruges, don’t miss the Belfry Tower for panoramic views and the serene Minnewater Lake. For something less touristy, explore the Begijnhof—it’s peaceful and full of history. In Ghent, the Gravensteen Castle and St. Bavo’s Cathedral are must-sees, but also wander the Patershol district for cozy streets and hidden cafes. For a day trip, take the train—it’s quick and scenic. Have you thought about timing your visit to catch the Ghent Light Festival if it’s happening?
