I recently purchased a Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) travel insurance policy for my upcoming trip, which cost me around $200. Now, I'm considering buying a non-refundable airline ticket to save some money, but I'm not sure if that's the best move. Has anyone else been in this situation? Did you find that the CFAR policy gave you enough flexibility and peace of mind to go with a non-refundable ticket, or would you recommend sticking with refundable options despite the higher cost?
