Hi, we're spending 3 days and 2 nights around Kotor, and we're hoping to squeeze in a day trip to Shkoder, Albania. I've heard great things about the city, especially the castle and the lake. What’s the best way to get there? Is it easy to explore on foot once we arrive? Any must-see spots or local delicacies we shouldn't miss? Thanks for any tips!

Shkoder is a fantastic choice for a day trip! The best way to get there is by bus, which is quite affordable and takes around 2-3 hours. Once you're in town, exploring on foot is easy. Don't miss the Rozafa Castle for stunning views, and take a stroll around the charming streets of the city. For local delicacies, try the 'tave kosi' (baked lamb with yogurt) and some fresh fish by the lake. Are you planning to visit any specific spots in Kotor that you want to compare with Shkoder?

Happy travels! 🌍

Absolutely love your enthusiasm for exploring Shkoder! Besides Rozafa Castle, definitely check out the pedestrian street, Bulevardi Gjergj Fishta, for some lively atmosphere and local shops. If you’re into art, the Marubi National Museum of Photography is a hidden gem! And for a real treat, sample the local pastries at a café—trust me, you won’t regret it! 🎂 What are you most excited about in Shkoder? Exploring the castle, the lake, or diving into the food scene?
