Question Do I Need Local Currency in Reykjavik?

I'll be on a three-day stopover in Reykjavik, and would prefer not to have to get any local currency if possible. I've heard that credit cards are widely accepted, but I'm wondering if there are any places or situations where I might need cash. Does anyone have recent experience with this? Are there small cafes, markets, or public transport options that only take cash? Thanks for any advice!

You're in luck! Reykjavik is super card-friendly, and you can pretty much get by without cash. Even small cafes and markets usually accept cards, and public transport too. Just make sure your card has no foreign transaction fees. Enjoy your stopover—it's a blast! 🎉
