We're in the early stages of planning a 5-week trip from Australia to Europe in December, and Helsinki is on our list. I've heard mixed things about visiting Finland in winter—some say it's magical, others warn about the cold and short daylight hours. For those who've been, what are the must-see spots in Helsinki during winter? Are there any unique winter activities or festivals we shouldn't miss? Also, any advice on how to best prepare for the weather would be super helpful. Looking forward to your insights!
