Hi everyone! We're two couples in our 50s heading to Greece for the first time in early October. We're excited but also a bit overwhelmed with the options. What are the must-see places? Should we focus on the islands or stick to the mainland? Also, how's the weather during this time? Any advice on local cuisine or hidden gems would be fantastic! Thanks in advance for your help!

How exciting! For your first trip to Greece, I’d recommend a mix of both islands and mainland. Santorini is stunning for sunsets and romance, while Crete offers rich history and beautiful beaches. The mainland has gems like Delphi and Meteora that are breathtaking! In early October, the weather is usually mild—perfect for exploring without the summer crowds. As for local cuisine, definitely try moussaka and fresh seafood! Any specific interests you have that could help narrow down your choices? 😊
