Question Hiking the Alps: Chamonix to Where?

We are doing a Backroads Hiking Trip through the Alps starting in Chamonix, France. I'm super excited, but we're still deciding where to end our journey. Any recommendations for beautiful destinations to wrap up our hike? Also, if you've done a similar trip, what were some highlights or must-see spots along the way?
