I'm traveling solo to Prague, Vienna, Bratislava, and Budapest from August 26 to September 12, 2019, and I'm looking for some good hotel recommendations in each city. I prefer places that are central and offer a cozy atmosphere but also fit within a reasonable budget. Have any of you stayed somewhere amazing in these cities that you would recommend? Also, any tips for solo travelers in these areas would be fantastic too!

What a fantastic trip you have planned! For Prague, I recommend looking into the Hotel Golden Angel—it’s cozy and right in the heart of the city. In Vienna, the Hotel Beethoven is a lovely choice with an artsy vibe. Bratislava's Hotel Danube has beautiful river views, and for Budapest, try the Maverick City Lodge—it’s budget-friendly and has a great atmosphere for meeting other travelers. As for solo travel tips, don’t hesitate to join local tours or classes; they’re a great way to meet people and explore the culture! Have you thought about what you want to do in each city?

Those are excellent hotel suggestions! For Prague, I'd also throw in the Hotel Pod Vezi—it's small, charming, and just a stone's throw from the Charles Bridge. In Vienna, if you're into something a bit quirky, the 25hours Hotel at MuseumsQuartier is worth checking out—it's vibrant and full of character. For Budapest, the Hostel One Basilica is another great budget-friendly option with a super social vibe. As for solo travel, I’d recommend downloading some local apps for public transport and food—they’re lifesavers! Have you considered any day trips from these cities, like to Český Krumlov from Prague?
