Question How Much Cash Should I Take on My Trip?

I'm planning my trip and wondering how much cash I should take. With so many places accepting cards and digital payments, I'm not sure if carrying a lot of cash is still necessary. I will be going to Christmas markets in Europe, where I've heard some vendors prefer cash. How do you usually budget for cash versus card payments when traveling? Any tips on managing money safely while abroad?
