Question Is the Train from Porto to Pinhao Worth It for a Day Trip?

I've heard that the train ride from Porto to Pinhao is quite scenic and takes about 2 hours. I'm considering it as a day trip option but would love to hear from anyone who's done it. How was your experience? Was the scenery as beautiful as they say, and is Pinhao worth spending a day in? Also, any tips on what to do there would be great!
