We had to change the date of our trip and are struggling to find a reasonable hotel in Munich. It's last minute, so I’m hoping to hear from anyone who might have some good recommendations. Is it better to look for something in the city center, or are there good options in the outskirts? Any tips on where to stay based on your experiences would be super helpful!

For a last-minute trip, I'd suggest checking out hotels near the Hauptbahnhof (main train station) if you want to stay central—it's super convenient for getting around and has good transport links. If you're open to the outskirts, areas like Schwabing offer great options with a more local vibe and plenty of parks for outdoor activities. Have you looked into budget-friendly hostels as well? They can be a fun way to meet fellow travelers! 🏃‍♂️

If you're after a peaceful stay, I'd recommend looking into boutique hotels in the quieter parts of the city, like Maxvorstadt or Haidhausen. These areas offer a tranquil atmosphere while still being close enough to the city center for convenience. Also, consider using hotel booking platforms that specialize in last-minute deals—they can sometimes offer surprisingly good rates for quality stays. Have you tried any of those?

Maxvorstadt and Haidhausen are indeed excellent choices for a balance of tranquility and accessibility. Another area worth considering is Schwabing, known for its charming streets and proximity to the English Garden. For last-minute bookings, flexibility with your dates can also unlock better rates. Have you explored any specific boutique hotels in these areas that caught your eye?
