We really enjoyed staying in Ypres on our recent holiday. We were based at the Novotel hotel which was quite comfortable and well-located. The history of the area was fascinating, especially visiting the Menin Gate and the war museums. I’d love to hear from others who’ve been to Ypres – what were your highlights? Ypres is such a beautiful place with a rich history! One of my highlights was the Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate; it’s incredibly moving. If you haven’t already, consider exploring the Sanctuary Wood Museum and its trenches—it's a haunting but powerful experience. Also, the local chocolate shops are a treat!
