Advice Packing Tips for Italy in Early April

Hello Members! This will be my first time visiting Italy. I'll be traveling through the 3 main cities - Rome, Florence, and Venice - during the first week of April. I'm a bit unsure about what to pack, especially since I've heard the weather can be quite unpredictable during this time. Should I prepare for rain, or is it mostly sunny? Also, any advice on what kind of shoes to bring for walking on cobblestone streets would be super helpful.
