Advice Planning Anniversary Trip to Croatia & Slovenia

My wife and I are looking at taking our anniversary trip to Croatia and Slovenia in early to mid May 2025. We're excited but also feeling a bit overwhelmed with timing and scheduling! What are the must-see places in both countries at that time of year? Any tips on how long to spend in each location? Finally, consider visiting Lake Bled for its breathtaking views and outdoor activities—spend a day hiking or boating. Balancing relaxation and adventure should be achievable with this mix.
