Question Prague to Austrian Alps - Worth the Trip?

Hi - I have a daughter studying abroad this summer in Prague and would love to visit as well as take a side trip to the Austrian Alps. I'm wondering if it's feasible to travel from Prague to the Austrian Alps, and if so, what's the best way to do it? Also, any recommendations on must-see spots in the Alps or tips for making the most out of this trip would be greatly appreciated. Has anyone done this journey before?
