A dear friend is planning on taking her first trip to Ireland this summer. Her ancestors are from there, and she's really excited to explore her roots. She's considering renting a house for the duration of her stay instead of staying in hotels. Does anyone have experience with renting a house in Ireland, especially in the countryside? Are there any particular regions or villages that are more welcoming to tourists renting properties? Also, any tips on what to look out for or avoid when renting would be super helpful.
