Discussion Self-Driving Tours in Iceland - Worth It?

We're starting to plan our Summer 2025 trip and I stumbled upon some self-driving tour packages advertised on Guide to Iceland. Has anyone tried these packages? Were they flexible enough for spontaneous stops, or did they feel too structured? I'm curious about how the experience was and if it's a good way to explore the country on your own. Any tips or insights would be great!
