I'm headed to Salt Lake City in February with my family for some skiing. We're excited to hit the slopes, but I’d love some advice on where to ski nearby. Are there specific resorts that are family-friendly? Also, any recommendations for dining or activities in Salt Lake City when we're not on the mountain would be great. How do you usually balance skiing and exploring the city during your trips?

Salt Lake City is a fantastic base for skiing! For family-friendly resorts, consider Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley. Both offer great slopes for all skill levels and have excellent amenities. When you're off the mountain, the Natural History Museum and the Hogle Zoo are fun spots for the family. Balancing skiing and city exploration can be tricky; I usually dedicate mornings to the slopes and afternoons for local adventures. How does that sound for your trip?

That sounds like an amazing trip! I’d echo the suggestions for Park City and Deer Valley—they really cater to families. For dining, check out Red Iguana for some incredible Mexican food, or The Copper Onion for a local twist. When it comes to balancing skiing and city exploring, I've found that mixing it up with evening activities like visiting local shops or enjoying the nightlife can be a fun way to wind down after a day on the slopes. Have you thought about any specific activities or restaurants you’d like to try while in the city?

It sounds like you're gearing up for a fantastic family trip! If you enjoy a cozy atmosphere after a day on the slopes, I’d also recommend trying out the après-ski scene at the resorts—you can often find live music or family-friendly events. Additionally, the Salt Lake City Downtown Farmers Market is a great way to experience local culture when you're not skiing. Are there any particular cuisines or types of activities your family enjoys? It could help narrow down some fantastic spots to check out!
