Question Surfing in Puerto Escondido in February?

I'm heading to Puerto Escondido next month for a family trip and was wondering about the surf conditions during the off-season. I'm not a serious surfer, just looking to rent some equipment and catch some chill waves if possible. Has anyone surfed there in February? What are the conditions usually like? Any recommendations for spots that are good for beginners or casual surfing?
