We're traveling on the VCT tour in Feb '25. Except for the visit to the Grand Palace in Bangkok where the dress is more conservative, is sleeveless attire for women, with shoulders covered by a wrap, acceptable in the rest of the temples we visit? Are normal length shorts acceptable as well? Thanks in advance. We're excited to be going on this tour.

That's exciting! Generally, many temples in Thailand do have dress codes that require modest clothing. For most, sleeveless tops are usually acceptable if you cover your shoulders with a wrap, but it's best to avoid shorts that are too short. Knee-length shorts or skirts are often more appropriate. If you have the chance, consider bringing lightweight, breathable fabrics since February can be warm. Have you looked into any specific temples you want to visit? Each one can have its own unique vibe and rules!

You're right to think about the dress codes! For many temples, a wrap over sleeveless tops is fine, but it's usually best to opt for longer shorts or a flowy skirt to stay respectful and comfortable. Lightweight fabrics are a great idea! Are there any particular temples on your must-visit list? Each one has its own charm, and it can be fun to learn about their history before you go. 😊
