I’m gearing up for a 2-month trip to Southern Thailand, starting in Hat Yai, and I'm really eager to dive into authentic Thai culture. I'm hoping to avoid the usual tourist traps like Phuket and instead find some budget-friendly islands and towns where I can soak in the local vibe for longer stays (around 2 weeks). If anyone has recommendations for lesser-known spots or tips on long-stay accommodations, I'd love to hear about them. Any hidden gems or experiences to share?
