We're thinking about a trip to Europe from late October to early November, and the Netherlands is on our list. I'm curious about what the weather is like during this time and if it's a good period to visit. Also, are there any must-see events or festivals happening in November? I'd love to hear about your experiences or any recommendations for places to visit during this time of year. Any tips on packing or activities that are particularly enjoyable in the Netherlands during late autumn would be greatly appreciated!

Visiting the Netherlands in November can be quite magical, despite the cooler weather. Expect temperatures to range between 5-10°C (41-50°F), so packing layers is key—think cozy sweaters, a waterproof jacket, and comfortable walking shoes. The autumn colors in places like the Hoge Veluwe National Park are stunning, and the fewer crowds make it a great time to explore cities like Amsterdam or Utrecht. While there aren't as many festivals in November, you might catch the start of the Christmas markets towards the end of the month. Have you considered visiting the Anne Frank House or taking a canal cruise to see the city from a different perspective? It's a wonderful way to experience the Dutch charm without the hustle and bustle of peak season.
