We have narrowed down two apartments. One is one block from La Rambla and one block from Plaça de Catalunya, and the other is near the Marina and Gothic Quarter. We're torn between the two areas. La Rambla seems lively and central, but I've heard it can be touristy and noisy. The Marina/Gothic area sounds charming and historic, but I'm not sure about accessibility to main attractions. For those who've stayed in either area, which would you recommend for a mix of convenience, atmosphere, and local vibe? Any specific pros and cons to consider?
