Four of us recently spent a couple of days in Berlin before heading off to Munich and Austria, and I have to say it was quite an adventure! We managed to squeeze in quite a bit but I’m curious about all the hidden gems we might have missed. What are your must-see spots in Berlin, particularly for first-timers? Any local tips or unique experiences you’d recommend that aren’t in the usual tourist guides? Looking forward to your insights!

Berlin is such an exciting city with so much to discover! Besides the iconic Brandenburg Gate and the Berlin Wall, I’d recommend checking out the East Side Gallery for some colorful street art. For a unique experience, try visiting the Teufelsberg—a hill made from WWII rubble, which offers stunning views and an interesting history. Have you tried any local food spots yet? The currywurst is a must! What kind of experiences are you hoping to find in Berlin?

It sounds like you had a fantastic time in Berlin! Along with the spots mentioned, I’d suggest exploring the neighborhood of Kreuzberg for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse food scene. Look for street food markets like Markthalle Neun for some local bites. If you’re into history, the Topography of Terror offers a sobering look at Berlin's past. As for unique experiences, consider a boat tour along the Spree River—it gives you a different perspective of the city. What type of local experiences are you hoping to dive into next?
