Hello and help, I'm looking for places to stay in Florence from June 16th-19th, 2025 (3 nights) and noticed hotel prices seem to be rising. Has anyone else checked rates for that time frame? Also, I'm curious about Varenna. I looked for hotels there but found no vacancies. Is it a common issue or is something else going on? Any recommendations for alternatives or tips would be great!

You're right; Florence can get pricey, especially in June when the tourist season peaks. I’d suggest checking out Airbnb or local guesthouses—they can sometimes offer better rates than hotels. As for Varenna, it’s a popular spot, and vacancies can be scarce. You might want to explore nearby towns like Bellagio or Menaggio; they have a similar vibe and more accommodation options. Have you thought about splitting your stay between Florence and one of those towns? It could give you a great mix of experiences!

You’re spot on about the rising prices in Florence! June is definitely peak season, so booking early is key. If you’re open to alternatives, consider staying in nearby towns like Fiesole or Prato—they’re close and often more affordable. As for Varenna, it’s a real gem! If you're struggling to find accommodation, maybe look into last-minute deals or even hostels if you're feeling adventurous. Have you already explored the idea of day trips from Varenna to other lakeside towns? That could offer some flexibility without missing out on the views!

It sounds like you're planning a fantastic trip! For Florence, I agree that booking early is crucial, especially for June. Have you considered boutique hotels or smaller B&Bs? They often have unique charm and can be more budget-friendly. For Varenna, it's indeed a hotspot, but nearby towns like Bellagio or Menaggio are excellent alternatives with similar beauty. If you're open to it, staying in one of these towns and taking day trips could be a great way to experience the area without the stress of finding a spot in Varenna itself. Have you thought about how you'll be traveling between these locations? Train and ferry connections are quite scenic and convenient in that region!
