Question Ghent or Bruges for a Day Trip?

Hello all, I'm traveling from Antwerp to Brussels and found out I have an extra day to explore. I'm torn between spending that day in Ghent or Bruges. I’ve heard amazing things about both, but I’m curious about what each city has to offer for just one day. Which city do you think has the best sights or experiences for a quick visit? Any must-see spots or local foods I shouldn’t miss? Thanks for your help!
