I'm in the early stages of planning a road trip for Aug-Sept 2025, starting with a flight into Portland, Maine, where I'll rent a car. The plan is to explore Maine (thinking of hitting Freeport, Camden, and Bar Harbor), then head up to the Maritime Islands, and finally make our way into Quebec. I'm looking for advice on must-see spots along this route, especially hidden gems or unique experiences. Also, any tips on managing the logistics of such a long road trip, like where to stay or how to balance driving with sightseeing, would be greatly appreciated. Anyone done a similar trip?

That sounds like an incredible road trip! For Maine, don't miss Acadia National Park near Bar Harbor—it's stunning. In the Maritime Islands, the Bay of Fundy is a must for its dramatic tides. For Quebec, Old Quebec City feels like stepping into Europe. As for logistics, I recommend booking accommodations in advance, especially in popular spots like Bar Harbor and Quebec City. Try to limit driving to 4-5 hours a day so you have plenty of time to explore. Have you thought about using a mix of hotels and unique stays like B&Bs or cabins to add variety to your trip?
