Hey everyone, I’m planning a trip to Cinque Terre and I’ll be coming from Venice. I’m curious about the best way to get there by train. How long does the journey usually take, and are there any specific train lines I should look out for? Any tips on transfers or what to see along the way would be super helpful too. Thanks in advance!

Traveling from Venice to Cinque Terre by train is a scenic and efficient way to go. The journey typically takes around 4 to 5 hours, with a transfer in either Milan or Florence. I recommend booking a high-speed train (Frecciarossa or Italo) for the first leg to minimize travel time. Once you transfer, regional trains will take you directly to the Cinque Terre villages. If you have time, consider a brief stop in Florence to explore its historic center before continuing your journey. Safe travels!
