Advice Traveling to South Africa with an African-American Teen

We are an adoptive family - 2 Caucasian parents in our late 50s/early 60s with a sixteen-year-old African-American daughter. We're planning a trip to South Africa and are looking for advice on how to make this experience enriching and comfortable for her. We're interested in historical sites, cultural experiences, and places where she can connect with her heritage. Also, any tips on navigating South Africa as an interracial family would be greatly appreciated. Has anyone traveled to South Africa under similar circumstances? What were your experiences?
