We have narrowed down two apartments. One is one block from La Rambla and one block from Plaça de Catalunya, and the other is near the Marina and Gothic Quarter. We're torn between the two areas. La Rambla seems lively and central, but I've heard it can be touristy and noisy. The Marina/Gothic area sounds charming and historic, but I'm not sure about accessibility to main attractions. For those who've stayed in either area, which would you recommend for a mix of convenience, atmosphere, and local vibe? Any specific pros and cons to consider?

Tough choice! If you're after a mix of convenience and local vibe, I'd lean towards the Marina/Gothic area. It's got that historic charm and is still walkable to main attractions like La Rambla and Plaça de Catalunya. Plus, it's less touristy and noisy, giving you a more authentic Barcelona experience. On the flip side, staying near La Rambla puts you right in the heart of the action, which is great if you want to be close to everything but can feel overwhelming. What's your priority—being in the thick of it or soaking up the local atmosphere?
